 Partner Spotlight: OER & Fair Use Resource Page

 

New resource from the MU Design Center addresses copyright concerns specific to faculty.

The page, titled OER and Fair Use: Best Practices for Incorporating Affordable Instructional Materials in Online Courses, is part of their Best Practices in Online Teaching and Learning series.*

It addresses incorporating affordable instructional materials into your virtual classes, such as open educational resources (OERs), and explains the complicated Fair Use process. Also included is an infographic on when - and how - to legally and properly provide an article in Blackboard for your distance students.  Stress Relief Event: Please share this information with your students

Library Stress Relief Schedule of Events: Nov. 7th, Button Making Station; Nov. 8th, Survival Station (while supplies last); Nov. 9th, Sticker Making Station. All events in Drinko Library Lobby, from 12:30pm-3:30pm.

 

 In case you missed it: Library Celebration & Fundraising Event

MU Libraries celebrated Drinko Library's 25th anniversary on October 23rd.

The event included cake, library memorabilia, an acapella performance by the campus group 3rd Avenue, and remarks by Library Dean Dr. Monica Brooks and MU Chief of Staff Glen Midkiff. It was followed by an evening celebration to raise funds for MU Libraries' new Integrated Services Center, an endeavor born from Prof. Eryn Roles' sabbatical project with a goal towards making the MU student academic support experience more streamlined and user-friendly.
