What do we mean by library databases?

  • Journals, eBooks, newspapers, magazines, government documents, indexes, images, videos, citations are "collected" by different companies and placed into a searchable online format
  • Not all databases provide Full Text articles - use the citation information to request items Marshall does not own through Interlibrary Loan
  • Databases provide time saving research options
    • advanced search functions to limit or refine results quickly
    • citation copy and paste
    • linked keywords so you can find additional materials
