...you have probably used Summon many times. But don't forget about the other resources available to you, such multidisciplinary databases, subject-specific databases, research guides, and our library college portals. These databases cover a multitude of subjects and topics. View the tutorials below to learn more.

The library has many databases that cover a lot of different subjects. These are called multidisciplinary databases, and are a great place to start if your research topic involves a few different disciplines. One example is Academic Search Complete.

In contrast to a multidisciplinary database, subject-specific databases have more limited coverage about one specific discipline. The resources include scholarly and peer-reviewed materials, and sometimes trade publications, all specific to a certain discipline, such as teaching, psychology, history, education, etc.
