Open Access Resources

Option 1

Go to www.marshall.edu/library. Click on “Summon” on the left-hand side, then click “Summon Advanced Search”. On the Advanced Search Screen, under “limit to,” check the box “Open Access Items Only,” then enter your search terms in the search box.

Option 2

Go to www.marshall.edu/libraryUnder the “Research” tab, click “Search Journals.” Enter the keywords for relevant journals. Look for journals with an orange lock that says, “Open Access.”

Option 3

Go to www.marshall.edu/libraryIn the “Find it fast” box, click on “Marshall Digital Scholar.” You can also access the greater “Digital Commons Network” from here.

Google Scholar

From the Google Scholar page, on the left-hand side, click “Advanced Search”. On Advanced Search Screen, click on “case law” and enter search terms in the search box.

Visit the Library of Congress' Virtual Reference Shelf, with information on contemporary topics like business, consumer information, education, history, health, law, politics and government, and science and technology, as well as background information for topics via their encyclopedias.
