On the 1st floor of the Drinko Library you will find the circulation and reference desk where you can check out books and other materials and get answers to your research questions. You will also find the reference collection on the 1st floor. The IT service desk and Campus ID Office are located on the 1st floor as well; staff at this desk can help you with computer hardware and software issues. There is a large open area called the learning commons where you can study, use a pc or mac, do group work or just relax. Drinko Library classroom 138 is on this floor.
The 2nd floor of the Drinko Library has the indices, the print journal collection, and the general collection with call numbers A through J. The Writing Center, where you can get writing and research assistance, is also located on the 2nd floor. There are study and collarboration rooms on this floor too.
On the 3rd floor of the Drinko Library you will find the general collection with call numbers K through Z as well as additional study and collaboratin rooms and Drinko Library classroom 349.
Marshall University has 5 circulating library locations in the system. Each location or department has circulation services for the materials housed there. Please note that under certain circumstances, check out policies can vary due to the nature of the materials special to that location, (i.e. Government Documents, or Health Science).
