The Marshall University Libraries holds events throughout the year, some library-sponsored and others in collaboration with various campus partners. The Libraries also feature displays and exhibits, most viewable in-person, but many that are available online.
National Library Week April 7-13, 2024
Come by Drinko Library all week for our scavenger hunt or visit our table at the Earth Day Fair to make an upcycled bookmark! Scavenger hunt participants will be entered into a drawing for two $25 gift cards. Prizes are sponsored by the MU Campus Bookstore. AIDS/HIV Awareness Week in Drinko Library - March 11 - 16, 2024
March 4 - 20: The AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display in Drinko Library as part of AIDS Awareness Week.AIDS Awareness Week is part of the National AIDS Memorial’s efforts to bring the Quilt to communities across the United States to raise greater awareness and education about HIV/AIDS and to remember those lost to the pandemic.
March 11: 5 p.m. — Reception for the AIDS Quilt Exhibit in Drinko Atrium. Refreshments provided by University Libraries.
7 p.m. — “Common Threads” film screening, Room 349 of Drinko Library
March 12: 12 - 5 p.m. — HIV Screenings, Room 349, Drinko Library
March 13: 5-6:30 p.m. — Evening Panel, AIDS in the Tri-State: Then and Now (featuring Dr. Len Deutsch, Timothy Stanley, Jan Rader and Shelley St. Clair), Room 349, Drinko Library
March 14: “Common Threads” film screening, Room 402 of Drinko Library
