Types of Library Instruction

Embedded librarians

Experienced research and instruction services specialists (AKA Reference Librarians) are availble for your information literacy needs! Embedded sessions are carefully and thoughtfully planned in conjunction with the course professor so that librarians can design instruction that supports critical thinking, addresses course assignments and fosters information literacy in students.  Please plan ahead for your instruction needs because our calendars fill up quickly.

Research Consultations

In conjunction with the Writing Center located on the second floor of the Drinko Library, the Research and Instruction Services team of librarians offer one-on-one research consulations.   Go to http://muwww-new.marshall.edu/writingcenter/appointments-2/ to sign in and make an appointment!
