Produced for the Carter G. Woodson Foundation, Inc. by Jeanette Rowsey. A brief introduction to the life, contributions and inspiration of West Virginia's Memphis Tennessee Garrison (1890-1988) . Mrs. Garrison was an extraordinary teacher, community leader and civil rights activist from McDowell County, whose Huntington home is a potential historic site.
