Although the dictionary defines a graphic novel as a story published as a book in comic-strip format (OED), in practice it referes to any book illustrated in comic-strip format. Due to the generosity of Chris Hodges, a MU student, Marshall University Libraries has a diverse collection of Graphic Novels located on the 1st floor of the Drinko Library.
