Faculty Library Policies

What are the library privileges for Faculty?

Book Checkout for Full-time Faculty: entire academic year. Part-time Faculty: entire semester.
Video Checkout: 3 days, but Faculty can request longer checkout times. There is a 6 title limit and video/DVD fines are $1 per day.

Only Bound Journals circulate (to faculty only). Checkout period is one day - due by 10:30 pm on day following checkout. Bound journal fines are $1 per day

EZ-Borrow/PALCI books are ordered online but retrieved from other libraries. We are bound by the lending library loan periods and must also factor in the USPS 4th class book rate time-table when we return them to avoid overdues.  As a result, often the loan periods are not sufficient for some faculty needs.

If you need EZ-Borrow materials for a longer period, please speak to the IDS staff at the time you make an EZ-Borrow loan request.  We also encourage you to speak to our collection development librarian, Christine Lewis at 304-696-4356 or lewis47@marshall.edu. If funds are available, we will make every effort to obtain the resources you need to support your research. EZ-Borrow book fines are $1 per day.
