Finding books not available at MU Libraries

What if I need a book MU Libraries don't own?

Use this two-step strategy:

1. Search other library catalogs and even sites like Amazon.com or Google Books to find what you need

2. Request the book you need via our EZ Borrow or IDS system.

a. EZ Borrow - search here first to see if you can locate the book you need. (EZ Borrow is a small group of libraries in our region that agree to share books via lending.) If you do, simply use your MUID 901 to request it. (The book will be sent to the Drinko Library Service Desk for you, and you will get an email notifying you when it arrives. Generally, you will be able to keep the book for 84 days (12 weeks).

b. If the book you need isn't available via EZ Borrow, don't give up! Request it via IDS (Information Delivery Services). When you make an IDS request, we will search for the book you need throughout the United States.
